Delhi (Okhla Bird Sanctuary)

Okhla Bird Sanctuary is the best place to spot thousands of migratory birds including Shoveller Duck, Northern Pintail, Common Teal, Gadwall Duck and Blue Winged Teal. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and bird watchers. The sanctuary is situated on the river Yamuna, which is one of the holiest rivers in the Indian culture. The area falls in the National Capital Region as such people come to this wetland to worship water body flora and fauna according to their regional ancient culture.

Day 03

Delhi- Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore (By Train)

Morning pick-up from hotel & transfer to Hazrat Nizamuddin train station in Delhi to board the train for Sawai Madhopur (07:40 Hrs) which is the nearest train station for Ranthambore National Park. Our company representative will be there for pick-up assistance from the advised location & will be with you for train boarding assistance & till departure of the train from this station.

On arrival at Sawai Madhopur Train station (13:00 HRS) you will be welcomed by our representative; you can find him easily as he will be there at Sawai Madhopur train station holding a Placard of your name.

After meet & greet board the exclusive vehicle to get a transfer for your pre-booked Wildlife Resort. After all check-in formalities & Lunch enjoy your afternoon jeep safari for Ranthambore National Park.

This 03 hrs of jeep safari will give you an opportunity to explore flora & fauna of Ranthambore Forest. Safari will be with 06 seater shared open jeep with expert naturalist & Driver who are well aware of all proximities of the national park to provide you best wildlife safari experience.

Day 04

Ranthambore (Birding at Surwal & Mansarovar Lake)

  • Full day Bird Watching

Morning self-service at you room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive towards Surwal Lake, this seasonal lake located between acres of agricultural fields, it is a good place to different species of migratory birds in winters Flamingos. Painted Storks, Spoonbills, Sarus & Demoiselle Greylag Geese and Cranes can be seen in large numbers between November and March. Return to the resort for Lunch.

After lunch board the open jeep to drive towards Mansarovar Lake, this lake is the largest one in this area, it lies at the southern edge of the park. It is a paradise for bird watching in winter time and you can have a chance to see Pintail ducks, Pelicans, Geese and Herons in large numbers. It is a good place for walking too. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening.

Day 05

Ranthambore (Birding at Pali Ghat & Misradhara)

  • Full day Bird Watching

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive for Pali Ghat. Situated at a distance of 40 kms from Ranthambore Pali Ghat is a preferred camping & boating spot at the banks of River Chambal.

Here, you have a good option to see alligator usually which cannot be seen at Ranthambore park. This is an excellent place for bird watching specially water ducks, Sarus, Demoiselle Greylag Geese and Cranes. Return to the resort for Lunch. After Lunch enjoy bird watching near Misradhara gate & Ranthambhore Fort, from Misradhara gate to the fort you can have the option to see more than 40 species.

This is an excellent place for birding and you can watch Peacocks, Parakeets, Doves, Flycatchers, also this is the best place to see the Painted Spurfowl, the main attraction for bird watchers. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening.

Day 06

Ranthambore (Birding at Banas River)

  • Full day Bird Watching

Morning self-service at you room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive towards Banas river. Situated at a distance of 20 kms from Ranthambore Bank of Banas River is a very quiet and good spot for birding, the best place for Indian skimmers and River lapwings.

On the drive past to Banas river you will cover the places excellent for chats, larks, sand grouse, India courser and other birds which prefer dry habitats. Return to the resort for Lunch. After Lunch, board the open jeep to reach Bhoori Pahari, the place where the two rivers Banas and Moral meet together. Peacock, Partridges, Quails, Sand grouse, Stone curlews, Minivets, Flycatchers, Tits, Orioles, Parakeets, Sparrow, and Vultures represent the avifauna are the sights in this area. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening.

Ranthambore National Park- Bharatpur (by Train)

Morning self-service at you room for tea / coffee after an early breakfast & check-out formalities transfer to Sawai Madhopur train station to board the train for Bharatpur, our company representative will be there for pick-up assistance from hotel & will be with you for train boarding assistance & till departure of the train from this station at 07:05 Hrs. *approx 02 hrs on train board in Air-conditioned Chair Car Coach (Top class seating arrangement on this train) Arrive Bharatpur at 09:15 Hrs.

On arrival at Bharatpur Train station you will be welcomed by our representative, you can find him easily as he will be holding a Placard of your name. After meet & greet board the exclusive vehicle to get a transfer to the pre booked lodge. Afternoon visit to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

No restrictions for time duration, visit can be done any time Sunrise till Sunset. Only traveling by rickshaws & bicycles is authorized inside Bharatpur Sanctuary; however, Tongas and Boats are also available. Motor vehicles are strictly prohibited inside the park premises. A boat ride in the evening is suggested. It is considered as the best time to spot the beautiful birds in the park. Carry your own water, hat, shades, and mosquito repellent. Sunscreen will save you from tanning and a pair of binoculars to have a closer look at the beautiful birds.

Day 08

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Morning and evening visit of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. The sanctuary is spread over 29 Sq km with well laid-out forest trails and can be easily covered on foot, a rickshaw, or a cycle. Though the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is open around the year, but still, the best time to visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is from August to November to witness the resident birds and from October to February to get the sight of migratory birds.

The primary attractions of visitors going to the Keoladeo National Park are the various migratory birds, coming from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia and spending their winters in Bharatpur, before coming back to their rearing grounds.

Day 09

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Morning and evening visit of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a man-made and man-managed wetland and one of the national parks of India. The reserve protects Bharatpur from frequent floods, provides grazing grounds for village cattle and earlier was primarily used as a waterfowl hunting ground. The 29 km (18 miles) reserve is locally known as Ghana, and is a mosaic of dry grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps, and wetlands. These diverse habitats are home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species,7 turtle species, and a variety of other invertebrates. Every year thousands of migratory waterfowl visits the park for wintering breeding etc. The highlight of the park is that it is the only known wintering area of the highly endangered central population of Siberian Cranes. The Sanctuary is the richest bird area in the world. It is known for nesting its resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds.

Day 10

Bharatpur – Agra (By Car)

  • Fatehpur Sikri & Agra Fort

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee after breakfast check-out formalities start your drive to Agra, En-route stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is a pre-historic city which has supported many civilisations through the ages. It is located beside a lake, which has now almost dried up. Many artefacts from different historical ages have been found at the site. Fatehpur Sikri has also been a Mughal site of great significance to the Mughal Empire, under the rule of Emperor Akbar, who lived here for 13 years after the birth of his son, Salim, who later came to be known as Jahangir, the fourth Emperor of the Mughal Dynasty. It came to be known as Sikri with the advent of Emperor Babur, who founded a garden and Jal Mahal, surrounded by the lake’s water. The site was later extensively developed into the first planned Mughal city. It has palaces built in red sand stone and is a site that shows perfect amalgamation of Indo Islamic architecture and culture. Arrive Agra & Check-in to the hotel. Evening visit to the Magnificent Agra Fort & Local market. Overnight stay in Agra.

Agra – Corbett National Park (By Car)

Morning at Sunrise visit the symbol of LOVE & POWER the extravagant monument Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal, entitled as one of Seven Wonders of the World, is a must visit to witness the masterpieces of Indian architecture. The Taj Mahal is one of the most impressive buildings in the world and it is rightfully famous. There is a reason that everyone has heard of it and everyone should visit it. Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal It took 15 long years and hard work of approximately 20,000 masons, artisans and laborers to construct this exquisite beauty; Shah Jahan was also entombed here after his death. Hence throughout the year, folks of lovebirds are seen posing together in front of Taj Mahal to make their love memorable and life lasting. After visiting Taj Mahal, return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast & Check-out formalities start your drive to Corbett, enroute stop at river Ganges to look for river Dolphins and birds. Continue drive to Corbett, Upon arrival check in at the wildlife resort. Overnight stay at Corbett.

Day 12

Corbett National Park

Morning & afternoon game drive to the Bijarani zone of the national park for wildlife & Birding. Overnight stay at the resort. Rest of the day time you can use near Kosi River for Birdwatching. Jim Corbett National Park is very well-known for a unique range of bird’s life. You can find here local as well as drifter type. At Corbett, you must visit the moderately new convergence of the rivers Mandal and Ramganga. The forest is regular by the Ultramarine Flycatcher, Long-tailed Broadbill and Blue-winged Minla. Little and Spotted Forktails, Brown Dipper and the Slaty, are easy to see, as are the Long-billed Thrush and Common Green Magpie.

Day 13

Corbett National Park

Morning & afternoon game drive to Jhrina zone of the national park for wildlife & Birding. Overnight stay at the resort. Rest of the day time you can use near Kosi River for Birdwatching. At Jhrina zone of corbett national park you can spot Common Peafowl, Redwattled Lapwing, Spurwinged Lapwing, Pintailed Green Pigeon, Blue Rock Pigeon, Turtle Dove, Rufous Turtle Dove, Common Kingfisher, Emerald Dove, Alexandrine Parakeet, Roseringed Parakeet, Lossom headed Parakeet, Common Hawk and many more.

Day 14

Corbett National Park

Morning & afternoon game drive to Dhaila zone of the national park for wildlife & Birding. Overnight stay at resort. Rest of the day time you can use near Kosi River for Bird watching. At Dhaila zone of corbett you can spot birds species like Spurwinged Lapwing, Pintailed Green Pigeon, Blue Rock Pigeon, Turtle Dove, Rufous Turtle Dove, Indian Ring Dove, Spotted Dove, Crested Hawk Eagle, Booted Hawk Eagle, Pallas Fishing Eagle, Himalayan Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Himalayan Pied Kingfisher etc.

Day 15

Corbett – Pangot (By Car)

Morning jeep safari for wildlife viewing. Return to the Resort around 11:00 hrs and time for breakfast. After breakfast check-out and drive drive to the next bird watching location, a journey that takes you on one of the world’s more spectacular mountain roads as we climb up into the Kumaon Hills on our way to this delightful “lake city”. Upon arrival check into the wildlife lodge. In the afternoon birding with a guide near the lodge. One can stop along the way to look for birds that may include blue whistling thrush, red-billed blue magpie, blue-capped redstart, rusty-tailed flycatcher, grey-backed shrike, yellow-breasted green finch etc. Overnight stay at the Lodge.

Pangot

Birding at Pangot, Baggar, Timla Pani, Cheena Peak & Nainital. One can see slaty-headed & red-breasted parakeet, grey bushchat, long-tailed & grey-backed shrike, common kestrel, besra, chestnut-bellied rock thrush etc. Streaked laughing thrush is a common garden bird here.

Pangot

Another full day birding at Pangoot. Overnight stay at Pangoot. Relatively high altitude west-central Himalayan birds are the feature of the Pangot area. The area boasts around 250 bird species. It is a justly popular destination for the elusive and endangered Cheer Pheasant, and you can throw in the Koklass on the same trip for good measure. Key bird species include lammergeier, rufous-bellied woodpecker, black-headed jay, laughingthrushes, babblers, tits, flycatchers, sunbirds and a great variety of woodpeckers.

Pangot – Sattal (By Car)

Morning drive to Sattal. Arrive Sattal & Check-in to the lodge, later bird watching at Sattal area. Overnight stay at Sattal. The Sat Tal lake has an altitude of 1370 meters. Sattal is unique for its biodiversity and ecological amplitude. It has 250 species of resident and migratory birds, 20 species of mammals, over 100 species of butterflies and over many species of moths, beetles, bugs and other insects.

Full day birding at Sat Tal, this habitat offers species such as white-crested laughingthrush, rufous-gorgeted flycatcher, red-billed leothrix, Siberian rubythroat, rock bunting etc. This scattered and deliberately undeveloped area is one of the most pleasant destinations. Look for rufous-chinned & white crested laughing thrush, rufous-breasted accentor, greater yellow-naped flameback, speckled piculet etc. Dinner & Overnight stay at Sattal.
