Our 12 nights 13 days Ranthambore, Chambal & Bharatpur Birding Tour offers bird lovers the opportunity to witness a variety of avifauna at India’s top 3 bird watching destinations. Spend two and a half days sighting as many as 272 bird species including Graylag Goose, Indian Gray Hornbills, Bee Eaters, Asian Palm Swift in Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan in its top six birding regions.

Visit Madhya Pradesh’s birding paradise, National Chambal Sanctuary that boasts around 330 bird species and enjoy 2 days safari tour for sighting a plethora of avifauna and migratory birds.

For a short break from wildlife, we take you to the symbol of love, Taj Mahal in Agra before heading to the last birding of destination, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. You will spend the last three days of the trip in this popular bird sanctuary of India, which boasts more than 366 bird species including herons, storks and cormorants, and the rare Siberian Cranes.

On your arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be welcomed by our representative, you can find him easily as he will be there at the arrival lounge holding a Placard of your name. After meet & greet transfer to your pre booked hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 02

Delhi- Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore: (By Train)

Morning pick-up from hotel & transfer to Hajrat Nizamuddin train station in Delhi to board the train for Sawai Madhopur (07:40 Hrs) which is the nearest train station for Ranthambore National Park. Our company representative will be there for pick-up assistance from the advised location & will be with you for train boarding assistance & till departure of the train from this station.

*Half day on the train board approx 05 ½ Hrs. Our priority is to provide 01 AC Coach (Top class seating arrangement) but it depends on the availability of train tickets status as well usually to get 01 AC Coach advisable to book your journey at least 95 days in advance. 02 AC & 03 AC train coach available to book within 90 to 30 days or later for a scheduled travel date.

On arrival at Sawai Madhopur Train station (13:00 HRS) you will be welcomed by our representative; you can find him easily as he will be there at Sawai Madhopur train station holding a Placard of your name. After meet & greet board the exclusive vehicle to get a transfer for your pre-booked Wildlife Resort. After all check-in formalities & Lunch enjoy your afternoon jeep safari for Ranthambore National Park. This 03 hrs of jeep safari will give you an opportunity to explore flora & fauna of Ranthambore Forest. Safari will be with 06 seater shared open jeep with expert naturalist & Driver who are well aware of all proximities of the national park to provide you best wildlife safari experience. You also can opt for a private jeep with applicable supplement cost at the time of booking this tour. Enjoy your evening at the resort with Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at the wildlife resort.

Day 03

Ranthambore (Birding at Surwal & Mansarovar Lake)

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive towards Surwal Lake, this seasonal lake located between acres of agricultural fields, it is a good place to different species of migratory birds in winters Flamingos. Painted Storks, Spoonbills, Sarus & Demoiselle Greylag Geese and Cranes can be seen in large numbers between November and March. Return to the resort for Lunch. After lunch board the open jeep to drive towards Mansarovar Lake, this lake is the largest one in this area, it lies at the southern edge of the park. It is a paradise for bird watching in winter time and you can have a chance to see Pintail ducks, Pelicans, Geese and Herons in large numbers. It is a good place for walking too. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at the wildlife resort.

Day 04

Ranthambore (Birding at Pali Ghat & Misradhara)

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive for Pali Ghat. Situated at a distance of 40 kms from Ranthambore Pali Ghat is a preferred camping & boating spot at the banks of River Chambal. Here, you have a good option to see alligators usually which cannot be seen at Ranthambore park. This is an excellent place for bird watching specially water ducks, Sarus, Demoiselle Greylag Geese and Cranes. Return to the resort for Lunch. After Lunch enjoy bird watching near Misradhara gate & Ranthambhore Fort, from Misradhara gate to the fort you can have the option to see more than 40 species. This is an excellent place for birding and you can watch Peacocks, Parakeets, Doves, Flycatchers, also this is the best place to see the Painted Spurfowl, the main attraction for bird watchers. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at the wildlife resort.

Day 05

Ranthambore (Birding at Banas River & Bhoori Pahari)

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready to board the open jeep to drive towards Banas river. Situated at a distance of 20 kms from Ranthambore Bank of Banas River is a very quiet and good spot for birding, the best place for Indian skimmers and River lapwings. On the drive past to Banas river you will cover the places excellent for chats, larks, sand grouse, India courser and other birds which prefer dry habitats. Return to the resort for Lunch. After Lunch, board the open jeep to reach Bhoori Pahari, the place where the two rivers Banas and Moral meet together. Peacock, Partridges, Quails, Sand grouse, Stone curlews, Minivets, Flycatchers, Tits, Orioles, Parakeets, Sparrow, and Vultures represent the avifauna are the sights in this area. Late evening return to the resort to enjoy Rajasthani folk music & dance arranged by resort management on every alternate evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at the wildlife resort.

Day 06

Ranthambore – Chambal (By Car)

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready to board morning jeep safari vehicle, final 03 hrs to explore wildlife of Ranthambore National park. After finishing AM safari return to resort, breakfast & time for bag pack & check-out formalities. 11:45 Hrs pick-up & drive to Chambal Bird Sanctuary. Approx 06 to 07 hrs drive. On arrival check –in at the safari lodge. Dinner & Overnight stay. (The National Chambal Sanctuary (NCS) is a 400 km stretch of the river Chambal and a 1 to 6 km wide swathe of the ravines on both sides of the river, covering an area of 1235 sq. km.The Sanctuary boasts of a rapidly increasing and impressive bird list of over 330 species of resident and migratory birds, and is gaining a reputation as one of the most reliable places to see the Indian Skimmer)

Day 07

National Chambal Sanctuary

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready for morning jeep safari. This 03 to 04 hrs of hours Jeep Safari through low-lying wetland areas, north of the Yamuna is for spotting Sarus Cranes and other wetland birds. After lunch another jeep safari for National Chambal Sanctuary to see several species of wetland birds, raptors are also found along the course of this safari. Evening return back to safari lodge. Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 08

National Chambal Sanctuary

  • Boat safari

Morning self-service at your room for tea / coffee & get ready for morning boat safari, this will be two to three hour river safari & nature walk through the ravines at the National Chambal Sanctuary. After lunch another river safari for the National Chambal Sanctuary. The gentle pace of the River Safari is designed to provide spectacular sightings of the gharials, muggers & turtles basking in the sun; the many migratory and resident birds flying sorties; the occasional glimpses of the Gangetic river dolphins breaking surface. Evening return back to safari lodge. Dinner & Overnight stay

Day 09

National Chambal Sanctuary – Agra – Bharatpur (By Car)

  • Visit to Taj Mahal

Morning at leisure, after breakfast drive to Bharatpur via Agra, approx 03 to 04 hrs drive. On reaching Agra meet with our local guide & visit to the extravagant monument Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal, entitled as one of Seven Wonders of the World, is a must visit to witness the masterpieces of Indian architecture. The Taj Mahal is one of the most impressive buildings in the world and it is rightfully famous. There is a reason that everyone has heard of it and everyone should visit it. Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal It took 15 long years and hard work of approximately 20,000 masons, artisans and laborers to construct this exquisite beauty. After visiting Taj Mahal, continue drive to Bharatpur. On arrival check –in at the forest lodge. Overnight stay at Bharatpur.

Day 10

Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary)

  • Birding at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Morning and evening visit of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. No restrictions for time duration, visit can be done any time Sunrise till Sunset. Only traveling by rickshaws & bicycles is authorized inside Bharatpur Sanctuary; however, Tongas and Boats are also available. Motor vehicles are strictly prohibited inside the park premises. A boat ride in the early morning or late evening is suggested. It is considered as the best time to spot the beautiful birds in the park. Carry your own water, hat, shades, and mosquito repellent. Sunscreen will save you from tanning and a pair of binoculars to have a closer look at the beautiful birds.

Day 11

Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary)

Morning and evening visit of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. The sanctuary is spread over 29 Sq km with well laid-out forest trails and can be easily covered on foot, a rickshaw, or a cycle. Though the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is open around the year, but still, the best time to visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is from August to November to witness the resident birds and from October to February to get the sight of migratory birds. The primary attractions of visitors going to the Keoladeo National Park are the various migratory birds, coming from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia and spending their winters in Bharatpur, before coming back to their rearing grounds.

Day 12

Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary)

Morning and evening visit of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a man-made and man-managed wetland and one of the national parks of India. The reserve protects Bharatpur from frequent floods, provides grazing grounds for village cattle and earlier was primarily used as a waterfowl hunting ground. The 29 km (18 miles) reserve is locally known as Ghana, and is a mosaic of dry grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps, and wetlands. These diverse habitats are home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species,7 turtle species, and a variety of other invertebrates. Every year thousands of migratory waterfowl visit the park for wintering breeding etc. The highlight of the park is that it is the only known wintering area of the highly endangered central population of Siberian Cranes. The Sanctuary is the richest bird area in the world. It is known for nesting of its resident birds and visiting migratory birds including water birds.

Day 13

Bharatpur - Delhi – Departure (By Car)

Morning at leisure, after breakfast & check-out formalities start your drive back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi transfer to the advised hotel/Airport. Tour & Services will end here.
